100% Pure: Fruit Pigmented 3-Piece Set (Plus a Giveaway!)

Posted by:  Jordan

I have been wanting to try the completely natural mascara from 100% Pure for a while, plus I ran across their tinted moisturizer in my search for the perfect natural tinted moisturizer with sunscreen.  So, I was planning on buying the mascara and tinted moisturizer for a total of $50–not cheap but no more than what you’d spend in a department store for something filled with parabens and artificial fillers.  Before making my purchase I decided to browse through their website a little more, and stumbled upon the Fruit Pigmented 3-Piece Set, which includes a full size mascara, tinted moisturizer, and eye cream, for only $45!  It was like getting $5 off my purchase plus a free eye cream, so clearly I had to buy the set!  Here’s my review of all 3 products included in the set:
I chose the White Peach color of tinted moisturizer, and I am loving it so much!  It’s ridiculously easy to apply–it just melts right into your skin without needing much blending at all which made me happy because my last tinted moisturizer from Korres was very hard to blend in to my skin.  This moisturizer has an SPF of 20 which is perfect for my daily protection walking to the subway and back.  The coverage is light, but it evens out my skin tone nicely and my concealer blends well with it to provide more coverage on certain areas.  This product is a winner, for sure!
Recently I haven’t been that interested in buying eye creams because it seems silly to buy an entirely separate cream for the skin on one part of my face versus the other (although, this was a decision I’ve made in the past couple years…I’ve been using eye cream of varying price ranges since I was 20!)  Since this was part of the kit, I was more than willing to try a new eye cream out, but I probably wouldn’t have purchased it otherwise.  I haven’t noticed much of a difference in my dark circles yet, which this cream is supposed to address, but I’ll keep trying!  One thing that is really bothering me about this product, however, is the smell.  It reminds me of the buttered popcorn Jelly Belly candies that I used to gag on when I was younger when I accidentally ate one thinking it was the banana flavor.
This mascara is the first natural mascara I’ve tried (I had to get every last dip out of my old favorite Maybelline Full ‘N Soft tube).  100% Pure’s mascara is very natural looking, lengthening, doesn’t clump at all, and I love the curved brush.  The black color is derived from black tea and it has a pleasant smell, reminiscent of a glass of blueberry iced tea!  They carry additional colors as well: Blackberry, Blueberry, and Dark Chocolate.  I’m unsure what the difference is between the Blackberry and the Blueberry; it doesn’t specify on their website.  But I’d love to try them all out!  I have oily skin, especially on my eyelids, so this product does tend to leave the familiar black raccoon eyes by around 4pm.  My old Maybelline mascara had this problem too though.  The positive thing about this natural mascara is that the under-eye smudges are much easier to remove than my old Maybelline favorite, and taking it off at the end of the day is a breeze.
Interested in trying this wonderfully natural mascara for yourself?  100% Pure was kind enough to send me a tube of the Fruit Pigmented Mascara in Black Tea for one lucky reader!  Simply check out 100% Pure’s website and let me know in the comments below which product you’re most interested in trying out .  The giveaway ends Sunday, July 11th at 5pm EST and I will announce the winner that evening.

  1. The kids pump soap looks really neat. Would also love to try this mascara! And might have to try that tinted moisturizer. Thanks

You’d love the tinted moisturizer–it’s so great when you’re in a hurry and want to look put together but don’t have time to be blending serious foundation. I thought of your kiddos too when I saw the cute ice cream kids soap!!

  2. I am thinking: tinted moisturizer, mascara and the strawberry tinted blush.. just for fun and all (you know since my face can’t really grace the sun). I would love them all! And I am almost out of mascara.

  3. I would also like to suggest they make a toothpaste for kids with the ice cream logo on it. If I had that, maybe brushing Huddy’s teeth wouldn’t be something that the X Games contestants wouldn’t shy away from!

I would love to try the mascara too! While my L’Oreal Volumnous Mascara with Curved Brush will be hard to see go (very hard!) I would love to see what natural options are out there to replace it 🙂

Hi, there, I have been wanting to try the 100% Pure products, but I really need to use up what I have at home first. I am a foundation junkie, so I would love try the full coverage foundation and luminous primer. It is hard to find cosmetics that are 100% natural, so this line really appeals to me. If you will ever try the full coverage foundation and primer in the future, please let us know what you think. Thanks for the post!

  6. Lovee 100% Pure Products! yay for giveaways.
